John Christopher Depp III was born June 9th in Owensboro Kentucky. He moved to Florida at a young age and after his parents divorced when he was 15, he dropped out of high school to pursue music. He was in a few bands, one, "The Kids," opened shows for Iggy Pop. Depp was introduced to acting when his former wife introduced him to Nicholas Cage who encouraged him to pursue acting. Depp made his acting debut in "A Nightmare on Elm Street" in 1984.
